The deadline for the Irish Arts Council’s Opera Bursary Award is this week, on 12 July at 5.30pm. The award is aimed at ‘buying time’ for composers and performers who wish to develop an area of opera in relation to their work. The maximum award is €15,000.
Applications are due for similar awards in other artforms, such as literature and dance, on the same day, but the deadline for the music award (separate to the opera award) is typically placed earlier in the year. Find out more here.
