Dreamtime, Revisited at the Irish Film Institute
Featuring music by Peadar Ó Riada, Dreamtime, Revisited is a film exploring the work of Kerry writer, poet and philosopher John Moriarty who died in 2007. Directed by Dónal Ó Céilleachair and Julius Ziz, the film is ‘a reflective essay mirroring Moriarty’s gaze upon the face of contemporary and historical Ireland and exploring the spiritual and poetic dimensions of its people and landscape.’ New York-based Ó Céilleachair previously directed 3-Triúr – In Search of Musical Form, which focussed on the musical collaboration between Ó Riada, Martin Hayes and Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh. Dreamtime, Revisited opens exclusively at the Irish Film Institute on 12 October.
