Groove Theory/Irish Baroque Orchestra Tour

The three-day tour begins in Limerick today.

The Irish Baroque Orchestra today begins its three-day tour performing Groove Theory written by American fiddle player Hollis Taylor.

Written especially for the Artistic Director of the IBO, Monica Huggett, the work mixes Baroque, jazz and folk elements. The tour begins in Limerick with a free lunchtime concert at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, travels to Galway for a performance tonight at the Ballroom at Seapoint (8pm), followed by performances in the Project Arts Centre in Dublin (1.05pm) and St Peter’s Church, Portlaoise (7pm) on Friday, and the Civic Theatre in Tallaght on Saturday (8pm). The Orchestra will be joined by jazz drummer Kevin Brady.
