Oireachtas na Gaeilge, the annual Irish-language festival that includes the major sean-nós singing event of the year – the Corn Uí Riada competition – started yesterday in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, and runs until Sunday 4 November.
There will be a range of live broadcasts from the festival on both Raidió na Gaeltachta and TG4 over the next five days, and there is also now a smartphone app for iPhone and Android, providing a guide to all events and competitions, as well as the latest news.
