MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, has launched a sound map of the world, in an attempt to collect field recordings from around the world. Developed by Spencer Kiser, the map is integrated with Soundcloud and submitting a recording is as simple as uploading it to MoMA’s Soundcloud dropbox. The sound map, which was developed as part of the Century of the Child exhibition, can be explored by visitors to the museum, as well on the museum’s website.
