This position works with direction from IIYM Academy Director to create and teach curriculum in a specific area of music, including but not limited to: performance, conducting, music theory, improvisation, music styles, music history and other knowledge and skills as required.

Selected candidates must successfully complete a background check on or before the first day of the summer music academy.

Job Description
100% - This position (Instructor) works with direction from IIYM Academy Director to create and teach curriculum for the IIYM Summer Music Academy. The position will require expertise in a specific area of music, including but not limited to: performance, conducting, music theory, improvisation, music styles, music history and other knowledge and skills as required.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Music and/or working with pre-college students in group environments, Summer Camps, or teaching experience.
Experience teaching music to students either in classroom setting or in private music lessons as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree OR post-graduate study.
