The Ruddock Bursaries

The Ruddock Bursaries

Friday, 15 March 2019, 5.00pm

2019 sees the launch of the Ruddock Bursaries which are being offered to U25 year old artists who have an interest in English traditional folk arts be it musicians, dancers or storytellers.

4 bursaries of up to £250* are available to youths up to 25 years old. You must have been raised, be living or studying in East Anglia and be already involved in some form of Traditional Folk Arts.

*One of these bursaries is to support most of the cost of one youth place at the Burwell Bash which is an annual Folk Music Summer School (29th July-2nd Aug 2019).

Aside from the Burwell Bash bursary, the remaining bursaries can be used for anything which would be considered helpful for the continuation of your involvement in this area – for example, to cover the cost of workshops, instrument costs, travel expenses to lessons.

Applications are open with the closing date of 15th March 2019.

Please apply in writing – tell us who you are, what you do, what your links to East Anglia are and what you would like the bursary to help you with. Please include proof of ID in your application.
