Jette Parker Young Artists: Stage Director

The Jette Parker Young Artists Programme (JPYAP) is designed to support the artistic development of talented singers, musicians and stage directors at the beginning of their careers.

Whether you are an assistant director currently working in opera seeking to take on the challenge of directing or a director looking to make the transition from theatre to opera, the Jette Parker Young Artists: Stage Director Programme is a great opportunity to develop your skills, practice your craft and to work with some of the best artists in opera today.

Young Artists employed as members of The Royal Opera, and are completely immersed in the life of the Royal Opera House. This is a bespoke programme designed to meet the development needs of each individual artist with a focus on supporting the development of their own artistic identity and launching their careers. The JPYAP Stage Director acts as assistant director on Royal Opera productions and stages their own productions in collaboration with the other Young Artists.
