Esker Festival Orchestra in Dublin | National Tour 2016
As part of the 2016 National Tour, Esker Festival Orchestra is delighted to perform in Dublin on July 2nd.
Ireland’s national orchestra for emerging young professional musicians, Esker Festival Orchestra 2016 is conducted by Peter Joyce, led by Hugh Murrary and features soloist Miriam Kaczor.
2016 Programme:
Mozart’s G Major Flute Concerto (soloist Miriam Kaczor)
Irish composer Luke Duffy’s ‘Elus’ (WORLD PREMIERE)
Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic suite Scheherazade
The programme will be rehearsed over an intersive residency in NUI Galway from June 26th – June 30th. Esker Festival Orchestra features its first collaboration with The Galway Music Residency and the ConTempo String Quartet, who along with members of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and RTÉ Concert Orchestra will provide tutoring to the members of the orchestra.
