West African Drumming - Malinke Djembe/Dunun - Beginner

5 Week course exploring West African drumming from the Malinke region of Guinea and Mali West Africa.
You will learn rhythms, sounds, techniques and cultural background to each rhythm for the djembe and dunun drums.

Students can also progress to our intermediate ensemble after the course. No experience necessary and drums are provided.

Taught by Paul McElhatton who has over 20 years experience, including 2 years of intensive study in West Africa.

Dates - Wednesday 23rd, 30th, February 6th, 13th and 20th.
Time - 6.45 - 8pm
Venue - Temple lane rehearsals, below the Button Factory.
