Donegal Chamber Music Society in association with Glenveagh National Park presents “Serenades & Dances” with the Donegal Camerata String Quintet in the Drawing Room at Glenveagh Castle.

After their sell-out concert in Glenveagh Castle last year and following their successful series of concerts in Conwal Parish Church, the Donegal Camerata will be back in the Drawing Room in Glenveagh Castle for another Summer evening recital on Friday 14th June. The String Quintet will offer “Serenades & Dances”, a colourful programme consisting of popular classical pieces such as Mozart´s Eine Kleine Nacthmusik, Bartok´s Rumanian Dances, Piazzolla´s Oblivion, Brahm´s Hungarian Dances and continuing with the celebrations of Benjamin Britten’s 100th Anniversary, they will perform his Simple Symphony Op. 4, an early work by the English composer, a masterpiece written between December 1933 and February 1934, when he was just 20 years old.

Glenveagh National Park is a paradise in the heart of north-west Donegal. The Castle is a fine Victorian building surrounded by beautiful gardens, picturesquely located on the eastern shore of the lake. Donegal Chamber Music Society again presents the Donegal Camerata String Quintet in this 19th century castellated mansion for a wonderful night of music in this natural setting.

The concert starts at 8pm, the bus will leave the car park at 7.30pm. This event booked very quickly last year. Tickets are selling fast and booking is essential. Tickets can be booked in advance only, tickets for the concert will be not on sale at the door. For booking contact: An Grianán Theatre Box Office: 074 9120777
