Peregryne @ Kilkenny Arts Festival
Founded in Vienna in 2009, Peregryne draws together singers from all over the world to perform rarely heard church music.
For this atmospheric late-night concert in St Canice’s Roman Catholic Church, the ensemble explores the deep sense of yearning woven into the choral music of sixteenth-century Europe.
Featuring works by some of the finest renaissance composers, including Monteverdi, together with a subversive modern piece by German composer Wolfgang Rihm, Sacred Hours celebrates the joy and anguish of faith.
