The SCO Development Officer plays a key role in delivering the Orchestra’s individual giving strategy, including promotion and administration of the individual giving programme and encouraging these individuals to consider legacy giving. This involves organising special events, networking at receptions, runnign donor recruitment campaigns and the associated administration, including creating cntent for the web and newsletters.

The Development Officer will also assist in generating income from charitable trusts and foundations, involving research and the preparation of grant applications. The role will suit a motivated team player – proactive and with the ability to work on their own initiative and keen to build a working knowledge of fundraising techniques and professional practice.
