Principal Lecturer in Performing Arts
The Principal Lecturer in Performing Arts is a Head of Subject role reporting to the Director of the Institute of the Arts and provides leadership and management of the Performing Arts Subject Area presently comprising taught provision across Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre.
A key member of the Institute’s Management and Leadership Team, the post holder will ensure high-quality teaching and learning and an exceptional student experience leading to excellent student outcomes in academic and professional terms.
You will join the Institute of the Arts at an important moment of undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio review and so knowledge of Performing Arts provision across the HE sector and expertise in curriculum design and quality assurance processes will be invaluable.
A track record of strategic engagement with research, enterprise and innovation would also be advantageous as the University seeks to secure Research Degree Awarding Powers.
