2nd Clarinet, doubling Bass Clarinet

Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates for the position of 2nd Clarinet, doubling Bass Clarinet, playing 1st as required.

Based in Poole, Dorset, the Orchestra performs extensively across the south and south-west of England, nationally and internationally, and also delivers an extensive range of education and community work, through its award-winning Participate department. The Orchestra’s Principal Conductor is Kirill Karabits; Leader Amyn Merchant.

Auditions will be held in Poole on Monday 3 July and Monday 24 July

Requirements:

  • Either Schumann 3 Romances, Op.94 (No.1 or 2), or Spohr Clarinet Concerto No.1, Op.26 (2nd movement)

  • Bass Clarinet: Saint-Saȅns Clarinet Sonata, Op.167 (2nd and 3rd movement)

  • Orchestral excerpts will be provided

  • Sight-reading may be given

Full audition requirements will be sent to those candidates who are invited to audition.
