Senior Lecturer in Music

Senior Lecturer in Music

Monday, 17 July 2017, 11.55pm

The Department of Performing Arts wish to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic research-active Lecturer to contribute to the Department’s music programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching on all the music-based courses, supervise research students and undertake pastoral duties in support of students.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of Higher Education lecturing in music.  It would be desirable if this teaching could span genres (across classical and popular) and a specialism in one or more of the following is desirable: musicology, performance studies (especially applied to popular music performance) or popular music performance.  Proven experience at research supervision would also be beneficial together with evidence of an emerging research profile to support this.  Beyond this, all areas of expertise in music are welcomed.
