The Female Conductor Programme

The Female Conductor Programme

Wednesday, 31 May 2017, 5.00pm

The National Concert Hall, with the support of Grant Thornton, have announced The Female Conductor Programme.

Building on existing programmes in other countries, the National Concert Hall and Grant Thornton will work with British conductor Alice Farnham to guide six novice conductors through 10 months of workshops and rehearsals.

The programme will cumulate with a showcase concert with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra in summer 2018.

Nominations, from Teachers/Lecturers/Heads of Schools and Ensemble Conductors, of female musicians over 18 will be accepted until the end of the academic year, and the selected candidates will be announced in late summer.
