The show that took Cork Jazz by storm last October is coming to Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival Sunday August 26th at 6.30 pm (Trim castle outdoor event).

After selling out two nights in Firken Crane theatre at Cork Jazz festival last year and sold out The Mermaid Theatre Bray on four occasions and will be touring in Ireland later in the year. The show is about the journey of women in the blues and is getting standing ovations everywhere.

It features four amazing Irish women of the blues – Flo Mc Sweeney, Emma Nicoloi Clara Rose and Jhil Quin – backed by a cracking band of the cream of Irish bluesmen and veterans of JJ Smyths – James Delaney, Ed Dean, Eoghan O Neill and Kevin Malone. Audiences identify with the empowerment of those blues women who virtually invented the blues genre as an art form. Ladies like Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, Ma Rainey, Mamie Smith and many others.
