The Department of Music seeks a Lecturer in Music Industry.

You will contribute to teaching in the music industry strand of the undergraduate programmes, and the Music Industry MA programmes. The successful candidate will supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including potentially those of PhD students.

You should have a PhD (or should be about to be obtained) in a relevant area or equivalent research/practice as research experience/achievements. You shoud have experience of working in the creative industries, as well as of teaching in Higher Education. Successful candidates are expected to be an experienced researcher in the field of Music Industry, able to contribute 4* outputs to Music’s REF submission, and to have plans for the development of research impact and bids for external research funding. The role also requires excellent communication and administration skills.
