Performance Examinations Co-ordinator

Friday, 13 October 2017, 10.00am

The Royal Academy of Music is seeking an experienced Performance Examinations Co-ordinator to join our Registry for a one year fixed-term maternity post.  The Registry is a busy centralised department dealing with students from the point of application right through to monitoring their success after graduating and is responsible for efficient organising of auditions, admissions, enrolment, examinations and student data administration, and the provision of front-line customer service to students.

You will be responsible for the management of the Academy’s performance examinations; this includes technical tests, concertos, recitals, end of year examinations and orchestral excerpts.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing a varied workload to tight timescales, including experience of complex timetabling procedures.  Excellent administration skills with advanced IT and Microsoft Office skills will also be required as well as first class communication skills. This role requires a high commitment to customer service. Owing to the nature of this role, a formal music qualification or good working knowledge of music and musical instrumentation would be highly desirable.
