Open Auditions

Irish National Opera will shortly hold its first open auditions for all voice types where singers will have an opportunity to sing for a number of Irish opera producers. 

Audition requirements are as follows: 

  •  One operatic aria/excerpt sung in the original language. 
  •  The panel may request a second aria. 

The auditions will take place on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd March between 10am and 5pm at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. A detailed individual schedule will be drawn up. 

An audition time will be allocated by request and at the discretion of the panel. Please send an updated CV with your audition request. 

The audition panel will include Fergus Sheil (INO Artistic Director), Walter Sutcliffe (Northern Ireland Opera Artistic Director), John O’Brien (conductor), as well as other opera producers. 

A répétiteur will be provided. Please provide copies of the scores for the répétiteur and panel.
