Robbie Hannan & Dermot Mc Laughlin
Tá clú agus cáil ar an bheirt cheoltóirí seo mar chaomhnóirí agus mar mháistrí an traidisiúin. Is as Doire do Dermot agus as Béal Feirste do Robbie agus tá suim ar leith acu beirt i gceol fhidil Thír Chonaill. Tá oíche cheoil den scoth geallta agus an dísreach seo ar an ardán.
Derry-born fiddler Dermot McLaughlin and Belfast uilleann piper Robbie Hannan both rank among Irish music’s most celebrated figures, not only as masterly players but also as authors, broadcasters and in their respective roles as Chairman of the Irish Traditional Music Archive and formerly as Curator of Musicology at the Ulster folk and Transport Museum.
They share a particular passion for Donegal fiddle music – characterised by its strong Scottish influences – with Hannan having adapted this repertoire for playing on the pipes.
