Deezer is looking for a UK and Ireland Music Editor to join its team in London.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Scour release schedules, social media, websites and live venues to uncover the best new artists and releases
– Curate playlists across a range genres, eras and moods, using data and other insights to shape your programming
– Create a strategy for UK and Ireland playlisting and programming that grows audience engagement
– Work with Artist Marketing team to execute global campaigns and identify local artists for programmes in the UK and Ireland
– Work with the UK and Ireland Head of Content to create content and event programmes connected to key local artists and playlists
– Manage catalog, ensuring artist and playlist metadata is correct and up to date
–  Collaborate with the Studio and Copywriting teams to create playlist artwork and promotional assets
–  Work with Social Media Content Producer to make sure Deezer is promoting the best releases and creating music focused videos, blog posts and stories for all our social platforms
– Work closely with the Deezer PR team to identify key trends for media stories
– Work with our CRM team to create engaging content for our newsletter and app notifications
– Analyse and report KPIs in order to continuously improve your playlists and the content we create

REQUIREMENTS

Deezer are looking for someone independent, dynamic, curious, creative and passionate about the web and music.
– At least two years’ experience in music programming, radio production or other relevant work experience
– A wide-ranging music knowledge. You’ll be able to create content across a number of genres and eras
– A deep passion for music
– An excellent knowledge of the music industry, streaming landscape and technology
– An understanding of music audiences in the UK and Ireland - their habits behaviours and musical heritage
– Excellent writing skills - from longform pieces to short and punchy sells
– Creative and able to create, test, improve content
