Kick start the Christmas festivities by joining sopranos RUTH GALLAGHER and PATRICIA GOGGINS, along with pianist YVONNE COLLIER, on Sunday 1st December, 1pm, in the Gallery, Green Acres, Wexford, for a lunch-time concert of Christmas Duets!
With a mixture of popular and traditional Christmas favourites and a special guest appearance from STAGEFRIGHT, this will be a fun family event you won't want to miss!

Ruth Gallagher, a Donegal born soprano, performed as soloist in Wexford Chamber Choir's Night of Baroque Opera, Waterford Christchurch Cathedral Choir's performance of Haydn's Seven Last Words of Christ, in Vivaldi's Gloria and Magnificat with St. Canice's Choir Kilkenny, and in Fauré’s Requiem with the WIT Chamber Choir and Orchestra. Ruth was lead soloist in workshops of Eric Sweeney's opera The Invader (2013), Aeolus in Weldon's The Tempest in Czech Republic (2018), and, Damon in Handel's Acis & Galatea in Prague (2019). Based in Wexford, Ruth teaches at County Wexford School of Music, and, with Music Generation Wexford & Waterford.

Patricia Goggins is a classically trained soprano and vocal teacher at the County Wexford School of Music, and with Music Generation Wexford. Originally from Limerick, Patricia was a soloist with the Bunratty Castle Singers. She has an AIMS award for her role in Verdi's Macbeth and was winner of the Arklow Challenge Cup at the Arklow Music Festival. Patricia sang in many lead female roles and sang with Vocare under the late Sue Furlong and was soloist at their performance in Carnegie Hall New York.

Yvonne is a graduate of the Birmingham Conservatoire where she received her Master of Arts specialising in Piano Performance. She specialises in accompaniment work and especially loves working with choirs, working regularly with Carlow Choral Society, Kilkenny Choir, Wexford Festival Singers, Gorey Choral Group, Wicklow Male Voice Choir amongst many others. She was the accompanist for Wexford based choir Vocare who were invited to premier Carol Barnett’s Bluegrass Mass in Carnegie Hall, New York in 2013. Her current project is the launch of her new accompanying website www.pianosoundz.com where tracks can be downloaded to sing or play along to in preparation for exams, concerts or simple enjoyment.
