This placement is offered on a full-time basis for a fixed-term period of 12 months and is available from summer 2018.

RCM is seeking a Trainee Recording Engineer to join the RCM Studios team for a 12 months’ training placement. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a sound engineer with a strong interest in classical music, wishing to develop high level skills in a wide range of operational disciplines including classical recording, editing and production, engineering film scoring sessions, mixing/directing live multi-camera video productions and running the live web streaming of classical concerts.

This placement would be ideally suited to a student wishing to undertake a placement year as part of their studies. Successful completion of at least 2 years’ degree-level study in the fundamentals of sound engineering, music recording or a related subject, or equivalent qualifications and experience is essential.
