The Contemporary Music Centre is recruiting a part time Event and Communication Assistant to provide a range of event and communication support services to the Contemporary Music Centre. The Event and Communication Assistant will work directly with the Promotion and Development Manager.

The Contemporary Music Centre is Ireland’s national archive, resource centre and promotional body for new music, supporting the work of composers throughout the island of Ireland. The Centre is used, nationally and internationally, by performers, composers, promoters and members of the public interested in finding out more about music in Ireland. The Promotion and Development Manager oversees all developmental work for the Contemporary Music Centre alongside all promotional activity for the Centre, for Composers and for the New Music Sector. In this newly created role, the Event and Communication Assistant will work in the Promotion and Development Department and assist the Promotion and Development Manager with a number of core services as well as working on designated projects.

This is a part-time role, starting at 12 hours per week approximately. Initially offered on a 12 month fixed term contract, beginning mid/end August 2015 – mid/end August 2016. The candidate will work from the Centre’s premises, ideally across three afternoons per week. Salary is based on experience.
