The successful candidate will be expected to have an understanding, passion and knowledge of a wide range of music genres featured on BBC Radio 1 and an instinctive understanding and appreciation of modern youth culture and cultural trends.

This is a multi-skilled role working to a Music Team Producer and ultimately to Radio 1 & 1Xtra’s Head of Music. The Assistant Producer will be expected to develop the required range of skills through a combination of formal and informal training opportunities.
