Artist Residencies
Artists in residence have been appointed on an annual basis since the Centre Culturel Irlandais was inaugurated in October 2002. Through the residencies and its diverse cultural programme, the Centre Culturel Irlandais showcases Ireland’s dynamic contemporary culture on an international stage.
Who can apply
Applicants must be Irish citizens or normally resident in Ireland, with professional involvement in creative practice.
A clear indication of the focus of the residency will be required together with a record of professional achievement: details of publications, exhibitions, performances, compositions, prizes, awards and related aspects of practice, as well as experience of other residencies. Visual artists must have had at least one solo exhibition and writers one published work.
Music Partnerships:
Music Network is supporting a 1-month residency for a musician seeking to further their performance career. Musicians working in all genres are eligible. This award will be made to a musician resident in (the Republic of) Ireland.
The CMC is supporting a 1-month residency for a composer who is represented by the Contemporary Music Centre.
