The Barbican seeking a Programme Co-ordinator to work closely with the Senior Producer to take ownership of the delivery of projects and public events in the ‘Hub’, as well as overall management of the venue throughout 2019, during which it will house an exhibition of the ideas which have informed Life Rewired. 

This part-time, fixed term position will work in collaboration with curators, programmers, producers and the Barbican’s public programme partners for the project (British Council and Royal Society). To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate the skills and experience needed to successfully shape and deliver an experimental cultural project which will consist of 50-100 events during the year, in addition to the year-long exhibition. Experience of working in a production environment is crucial.

As well as being organised and efficient, the successful candidate will have a passion for art, excellent communication skills, and relevant industry knowledge. Experience of coordinating schedules, and a good understanding of budgetary control, including reporting on income and expenditure, are also essential.
