Young Ensembles Scheme 2017

Young Ensembles Scheme 2017

Thursday, 9 February 2017, 5.30pm

The deadline for the Young Ensembles Scheme is Thursday 9 February 2017 at 5:30pm. Applications will be accepted online from Tuesday 10 January 2017.

The primary purpose of this award is to support groups of young people between the ages of 12 and 23 to create ambitious and original work together in any art form (e.g. circus, dance, digital media, film, music, theatre, literature, visual arts, architecture or any combination of the above). Groups/ensembles must be made up of 3 or more members.

The maximum award available is €10,000.

Each year, groups awarded funding through the Young Ensembles Scheme are invited to a networking event to share ideas and experiences. At the networking event in 2015, participants shared feedback on their personal experiences of the arts. Watch the video here. You can also watch a video where the participants share tips about making an application to the scheme.

Planning and providing for children and young people’s engagement with the arts is part of the Arts Council’s new strategy Making Great Art Work
