The Edinburgh International Festival is seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated individual as its new Director of Marketing & Communications.

The post-holder will contribute to the strategic development of the International Festival by supporting and building the Festival’s brand, leading on its marketing and communications strategy and maximising audience attendance and ticket sales revenue.

The Edinburgh International Festival is the world’s leading multi-genre arts festival, bringing some of the finest performers in theatre, opera, music and dance to Scotland’s capital city for three weeks in August. International quality, innovative programming, the intensity of the three-week programme and the year round engagement with all the communities the International Festival serves make up a unique brand identity.

The new Director of Marketing will build on a strong track record of success, bringing a fresh approach to the marketing and communications strategy. A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience or equivalent is essential, including experience of working at senior management level, contributing to strategic decision making, managing and developing brands and overseeing marketing and media relations, audience development and customer relationship management.

The successful candidate will be a robust, flexible individual with the ability to work under pressure and a strong, supportive and collaborative management style.
