Vocal Science & The Music Tutor

Vocal Science & The Music Tutor

Wednesday, 23 January 2019, 5.00pm

Tutor Tine Verbeke hosts a seminar on progressions in vocal science today and its impact on vocal tuition.

In the seminar, Tine will discuss the skills needed by students today to both succeed within traditional exam boards and the leaving certificate curriculum and meet the demands of the commercial modern music industry.

For over 25 years, Tine has been a vocal tutor of note to a diverse range of students, including some of the biggest contemporary rock artists in Ireland such as Bono, Glen Hansard, Mundy and Danny O Donoghue from The Script.

She has worked as an examiner at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and has been a vocal tutor at one of Ireland’s major universities too. Tine is also in demand as a performer, and since 1990 has been a member of the Concorde Contemporary Music Ensemble – a group that performs contemporary classical music in Ireland and abroad.

She’s performed as a soloist on many occasions with choral societies in Ireland and France and has many classical qualifications of note, including a Teacher’s Degree from the Conservatoire in Gent and a Postgraduate qualification from the Guildhall in London.

Tine uses her wealth of musical knowledge, and her own vast experiences as a performer and applies this to all genres of music, so her students can best develop their vocal ability.

All welcome! Suitable for secondary level teachers, vocal tutors, music practitioners and choirs.

Entry to the seminar is free, to RSVP contact [email protected].
