BBC Music Television has been commissioned to make a talent search series to find the most inspirational orchestra that best captures the spirit of great British amateur music. Orchestras from across the UK will take up the challenge and compete for the chance to perform at a major public event covered by BBC Television. The BBC is looking for two talented and energetic Shooting Assistant Producers to join the production team.

BBC Music Television is responsible for much of the BBC’s music and dance output on television and other audio-visual platforms. Its core production includes the Proms, Glastonbury, Later… with Jools Holland and other classical and rock/pop performance as well as a substantial body of documentary output. 

Role Responsibility
As part of the editorial team Assistant Producers make a major contribution to creative discussion and explore imaginative but realistic programme ideas ensuring that the style, content and mood of the programme meets the requirements of the target audience and fulfils the editorial brief. They cover a range of responsibilities such as researching, sourcing and booking contributors, locations and archive; writing scripts and creating storyboards; directing and/or shooting single camera sequences; overseeing edits to a clear brief, negotiating and clearing rights.
