This is How we Fly in-residence at Solstice - Welcome Performance

Saturday, 28 July 2018, 7.30pm

As part of their residency in Meath, This is How we Fly and Solstice welcome you to their introductory performance for a summer evening of food, drink, and good company.

Formed in 2010, This is How we Fly is a contemporary folk band consisting of Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, on hardanger d'amore, Seán Mac Erlaine on clarinets & electronics, Nic Gareiss on percussive dance, and Petter Berndalen on drums and percussion.

Their collective pedigree includes collaborations with The Gloaming, The Chieftains, Darol Anger and Gjallarhorn, along with work in theatre, dance and contemporary music. Individually, each member has carved out a reputation for not just mastering their chosen fields, but rising above, redefining and renewing the musical world they come from.

Tickets to the event include a buffet of local foods from our favourite Boyne providers.

Belinda and team are delighted to welcome This is How we Fly to Solstice for a unique residency throughout 2018/19. During this time, TIHWF will connect to both artists of different disciplines and musicians locally and internationally, as well as connecting to our cultural ecosystems and peoples through unique events. TIHWF will perform together, with guests, and individually, whilst also connecting with local communities, creating shared, vibrant, personal experiences for both audiences and musicians. The residency will begin at the end of July with a welcome performance.
