Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin’s traditional music academy, Acadamh Ceoil Chaoimhín Uí Dhochartaigh, will host a two-day BAND CAMP for young traditional musicians. Working with a number of internationally acclaimed tutors, they will have the opportunity, in mixed instrument groups, to create and arrange tunes, new and old. They will also be able to try their hand at a few steps & songs.

This year we are delighted to have such an exciting line up of tutors including Simon Thoumire, Ryan Molloy, Stephen Doherty, Ernestine Healy, Edwina Guckian, Robbie Walsh and a few surprise guests along the way.

Bodhrán players will have the opportunity to work in a large ensemble as part of the Bodhrán Buzz project.
All students will get the chance to participate in a sean-nós dance, singing sessiom, attend a lunchtime concert & engage in other fun traditional-music related activities!
