Bowie to Buckley: a World aPärt

Cello Ireland joins forces with Gerry Leonard (Bowie guitarist), Hugh Buckley (one of Ireland's finest jazz guitarists) and his quintet and Ben Garrett (Overhead, The Albatross) and Daniel Lang (Red Enemy) in an exploration of the music of Bowie, Buckley and Pärt.
Hugh Buckley Quintet features Hugh, on guitar, Phil Ware on piano, Dan Bodwell on Bass, Dominic Mullan on drums and Michael Buckley on sax.

This collaborative event brings together world class musicians from several genres of music, including Jazz, Classical and Rock, in an evening of incredible music making. Alongside the work of Bowie and Buckley the group will perform re-imaginings of the works of Arvo Pärt, including 'Fratres'.

Cello Ireland was founded in 2014 by Una Ni Chanainn (RTENSO) and has embarked on several successful collaborations since then, with artists from diverse backgrounds
