David "Ducksy" Moynihan

“What Is Yet To Come”, the latest single by Cork musician David “Ducksy” Moynihan, is now available to listen to on-line. Recorded at the BubbleRoom Rehearsal Studio in Douglas, Cork City, it is a perfect showcase for his highly original and distinctive sound.

Over the past number of years Ducksy has established himself as both a composer and performer on the Irish singer-songwriter circuit. In 2013, the title track of his first EP “The Echoing Refrain” reached Number 1 in the Balcony TV Cork Charts. He made a very successful appearance at Cork Culture Night 2012 and has also been invited to appear in the popular TG4 talent show Busker Abú.

“What Is Yet To Come” signals a new chapter in Ducksy’s musical career. With a production style that harks back to the “wall of sound”era of Phil Spector and the Beach Boys, the record stands in stark contrast to the sparse and downbeat nature of his previous work. A heartfelt homage to the Monkees- his first major musical influence-it effectively showcases his pop music roots and his unique musical personality.

With a highly anticipated seven track EP in the making, there is plenty yet to come for David “Ducksy” Moynihan whose work aims to liberate a positive change within us through the power of song.
