Press Officer (Performance, Dance, Contemporary Music)

As Press Officer, you will work closely with members of the team to ensure that our wide-ranging artistic programme receives the maximum amount of publicity and profile. Experience of devising and implementing creative press campaigns in the arts, with particular knowledge of performance, dance and contemporary music, is necessary for this role. You will have extensive knowledge of the cultural climate and the ability to run media campaigns that address current affairs and ignite debate. You will be able to sell great stories, produce compelling press materials and build excellent relations with the media, external partners and colleagues. You will be a natural networker with a proactive approach and eager to exploit the PR potential of all types of media.

With relevant experience in an arts press office environment, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills, in addition to first rate IT skills. A flexible and enthusiastic approach to promoting Southbank Centre and its core values is essential.
