2018 sees a new initiative within the Volunteer Department - the creation of a Visual Arts Internship Programme. VAIP volunteers must commit to an intensive two-and-a-half weeks in the Festival Gallery and will gain firsthand knowledge of running and invigilating a busy, high-profile arts venue. This new programme will offer invigilating experience, professional training on the artwork and artists including exclusive artist talks, tour-guiding instruction, special physical and digital certificates for use on CVs and opportunities to network with some of Ireland’s most influential visual arts workers.
