The Department of Arts and Humanities is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Education) in Music for a one-year fixed-term post (0.5 FTE) starting as soon as possible.  The successful applicant will help provide support for this diverse group in musicological studies, including theory, analysis, and historical and cultural perspectives.

The candidate may come from any of the above disciplines, and ideally will have the ability to teach across more than one of them. Candidates may also be able to contribute to practical or creative projects in the lively collaborative environment of Music at Brunel.

The position includes leadership of our undergraduate modules in music history and musicology, and teaching, lecturing, and dissertation supervision in musicology and related areas. Applicants will have a first degree in music; hold a PhD in musicology or a related area, or be near completion. Experience of teaching at undergraduate level is essential.
