Sublime: Pianist Ivan Ilić plays Bach, Scriabin, and Wollschleger

  • Both Bach and Scriabin reached for the sublime: Bach achieved it through rigour, Scriabin through freedom. Two keyboard giants are conjured by French-based pianist Ivan Ilić, a favourite of Irish audiences. The concert will also include the Irish premiere of Brooklyn-based Scott Wollschleger’s Music Without Metaphor (2013). This concert marks the Irish launch for Ivan Ilić’s new album for the Irish label, Heresy Records. A CD signing will follow the concert.
