UCC wishes to appoint an ethnomusicologist of distinction to the permanent position of Lecturer in Ethnomusicology. The University is seeking an ethnomusicologist whose specialisms are complemental to existing staff, and whose contributions will enhance and develop UCC’s current strengths in both research and teaching. 

It is expected that the appointee will have a record of innovative scholarship, a strong peer-reviewed publication profile (which may include practice-based outputs), and successful funding applications. She or he will be dedicated to achieving excellence as a university teacher, at all levels. Further, the successful candidate may have experience in external engagement, for instance through an active record of performance or other research-led outreach. 

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €33,149 - €58,547/€63,987 - €82,273.
