The School of Arts Education and Movement is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor to work collaboratively as a member of the Music Education team.

The responsibilities attached to this position are outlined at the link below. In addition, the person appointed to this position will be expected to contribute to the teaching of other areas of Education (as requested by the Head of School) in addition to the specialist areas, and to contribute to the wider work of the DCU Institute of Education.

The School requires a candidate who has a strong background in Music Education at primary / post-primary levels or other educational contexts and should have a minimum of three years relevant experience.

Applicants for the post must hold an honours degree and a post-graduate qualification in Education in areas related to Music Education, preferably at Doctoral level. Experience in teacher education is highly desirable. Experience of working in a range of diverse and inclusive music education contexts including online and blended would be considered advantageous. Fluency in Irish is desirable. Please note this appointment will be subject to the candidate successfully completing the Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Certification Processes.
