Wednesday, 23 May 2018, 8.30pm

Buddy Mondlock is a songwriter and a folk singer. Guy Clark discovered him at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1986 and started passing his tapes around to friends in the music business. With Guy’s encouragement Buddy made the move to Nashville in 1988 and soon after signed his first publishing deal at EMI. Since then his songs have been recorded by Clark, Nanci Griffith, Janis Ian, Garth Brooks and many others. In 2003 Buddy toured North America and Europe with Art Garfunkel and Maia Sharp in support of their album “Everything Waits To Be Noticed” which they wrote and recorded together as a trio. His most recent solo album, “The Memory Wall,” was nominated for an Independent Music Award. Buddy and bassist Mike Lindauer have been touring yearly in Ireland since his album “Buddy Mondlock” was released on U2’s Son Records in 1995.

Support on the night comes from Josh Johnston. Josh is an Irish pianist / singer / songwriter playing rock, jazz, folk and classical music, and sometimes a mixture of the four. His 4th solo CD The Art Of Saving Lives will be released on CD and vinyl in June 2018.
