Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman

HarrisonParrott is one of the world’s leading international classical music agencies. We currently have a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman. This person will have at least three years experience in a relevant and related area of the classical music business, be highly organised with a flexible and collaborative approach, fluent in at least two languages other than English and have a good knowledge of classical music and the arts in general.

Job purpose

- You will support the Executive Chairman in the co-ordination of all his work across the various sectors of the company.

- You will manage the Executive Chairman’s time effectively, planning ahead and ensuring, where appropriate, whether matters can be managed by other staff members.

- You will manage effective communications on behalf of the Executive Chairman and act as a persuasive and loyal ambassador for him both internally and externally.

- You will represent the Executive Chairman in his aims and strategies and engage with the various programmes as he initiates and develops these.

- You will be able to achieve an appropriate level of access to key movers and shakers in the music business (and arts and commerce more generally).

Person Specification

You will need to:

- have a flexible and collaborative approach, and be responsive to a changing and demanding environment with an open and friendly nature and inter-personal skills in order to facilitate good relations among staff at all levels

- have at least three years experience in a relevant and related area of the classical music business

- have a good knowledge of and active interest in classical music and other arts more generally

- possess a high level of linguistic ability with fluency in at least two languages other than English with a preference for German and French

- have an understanding of the need for professional confidentiality

- demonstrate that you have excellent organisational skills, be quick, efficient, able to work under pressure and unflappable in working to deadlines

- possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- possess strong attention to detail

- possess a good level of general education to University level

- have excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and managing emails, competency in managing social media and internet research.
