Kaleidoscope launches its 9th season on Wednesday Sept 6th at Bello Bar with a tantalisingly varied bill, made up of fourteen stellar performers. 2017/2018 "Featured Artist", soprano, Deirdre Moynihan, leads the forces in the Dublin premiere of David Lang's 2014 work "just (after song of songs)", which has become one of the American composer's most popular works. The talents of another Irish vocal star, Lauren Kinsella, appearing with her quartet "Snowpoet", will satisfy jazz tastes while accordionist Dermot Dunne revisits an electrifying solo work by Ukrainian composer Vladimir Zubitsky, “The Carpathian Suite". A twofold short sprinkling of contemporary chamber music and a selection of renaissance motets complete the bill.
