The Journal of Music is seeking a Part-time Assistant Editor to assist in the editorial management of the publication as well as upcoming editorial projects.

The role will involve working on the online magazine for two days a week.

The successful candidate will be based in Ireland and already have published a range of high-quality writing on music.

Excellent writing skills and an extensive knowledge of classical, traditional, jazz and contemporary music in Ireland, as well as the current writing on these genres, are essential. A qualification in music is an advantage.

The Assistant Editor will work independently and must be available to attend concerts and meetings also.

This position is suited to someone who is passionate about music, writing about music, and working in the publishing industry.
