Reid School of Music Ensemble in Residence

Reid School of Music Ensemble in Residence

Friday, 15 March 2019, 11.55pm

The Reid School of Music at the University of Edinburgh is looking to appoint an Ensemble in Residence for a period of three years starting in September 2019. The ensemble will play a prominent role in the School’s vibrant musical culture, working with composition and performance students, and performing several high-profile concerts a year. We encourage applications from new and emerging, as well as established ensembles, and particularly welcome applications from ensembles with expertise in contemporary music performance, live electronics and computer music, opera, musical theatre, improvisation, community music, film, jazz/free jazz or folk genres.

The ensemble in residence will work across the School’s activities and should demonstrate in their application the ability and willingness to approach different styles and extend their current practice in experimental settings with staff and students.
