Under the artistic direction of David Pountney, the company’s activity is balanced between the established operatic repertoire and newly commissioned works, both of which appear alongside less commonly performed operas as part of themed seasons.

The Chorus Master will direct WNO’s Chorus as part of an artistic ensemble of well over 100. The appointment follows Stephen Harris’ decision to leave the company in Summer 2018 following two particularly distinguished periods in the post since 2007.
