Ireland’s A Cappella Competition 2018

The hugely popular Ireland's A Cappella Competition returns this June for another action-packed day of singing.

This year, the competition will be held on Sunday 24 June at the Royal Irish Academy, Westland Row, Dublin. Open to small ensembles and large choruses, groups from around Ireland will compete for a chance to win a FREE recording session and the coveted Ireland’s A Cappella Competition trophy!

Not only that, but the competition will also be live streamed across the globe by online a cappella giants!

Entry Requirements:

- All ensembles must perform 100% unaccompanied.
- Repertoire must be of a contemporary popular style. Other styles like barbershop, do-wop, vintage jazz and contemporary a cappella are also welcome.
- All competing ensembles will be asked to perform for approximately 15 minutes. This could include a number of different songs or a medley of songs.
- Movement and choreography is encouraged but not a requirement. Vocal percussion and/or body percussion is also desirable.

Semi Finalists will be notified by May 20th. Semi-finalists will be required to pay an entry fee of €50 upon acceptance of their place.
